I really enjoy my kids playing sports and soccer is probably my fav, but three games every Saturday for a few months gets to be a lot. This is Amanda's team at their last game of the season. She had a really great year and even tried out for the High school soccer team and made it! <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1VeKgQ8ucODzeSs8sGMJu2NZsOYpw5k9BfUCaMWgjw9GjMZsDh7n80E3Lu-DC8oDICfOKhrVrYF69ROgluZ5ZjptEXsuV0i4Ot7ocReSeuqnekiaqqbz4I2HnLnmK3gzHPijcpXNENr_k/s400/100_0788.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5699467533492243554" />

Teenage girls being goofy.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR7lxoN6Cz__zkEn21mfHKWr_g46SfWoiWe8wepwgbOAaAgvuH8XIZeuoETDj2YQ3PP14vtZHiBdPDnbBfIWikvxPiSGHG4LbgPX0AIkEjDPtwTEQXKuPbMD734spfcR33W-5LZWUvj5Bj/s400/100_0789.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5699467404111037362" />The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-69795660950100224172012-01-19T12:23:00.001-08:002012-01-19T12:33:32.363-08:00Charger GameShaun's parents were supposed to come and visit us in November but were not able to. We didn't know they weren't going to be able to come until Shaun had already gotten tickets to a Charger game for Dell to take the kids to. (I don't do Charger games)When we found out they weren't coming the kids were disappointed to not be able to go so I relented and decided to take them. However, I didn't agree to go until my brother Logan agreed to go with us. I did not feel comfortable taking my kids to what I consider a big rowdy drunken party, especially because it was against the Raiders and they are notoriously rowdy. It ended up being a pretty good time. With Shaun's premium parking pass we avoided the crazy tailgaters and the seats were pretty great, very close to the field. The kids loved seeing their dad down on the sidelines and a really nice Raider fan fed me and my kids. I know these are terrible pics, but they are the only ones I snapped that night and I wanted my kids to have proof that I did take them to a Charger game...once.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCV-47am7kJfpeDrFuj_4qN3box2OlLf2_ne0Wheh8bkwGdl19c08JZmSN2r0OEPTim2gp1BRHPRIwQnPtjzhG0h5hRSjr-7z5HPdYWWPhXUOjdor0qcaHbELyPbat4AhDpO0bQNu7mtbC/s400/100_0774.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5699441635206813106" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimyWLOZh9jHpB8xfk6B0h3Wlu_uEBUBlIcpdm5MhlLM5MlfpYhQN2jFdIe3lHYTxUOlnw-RpBp-40ImjHUjfX-905ZJCq_mxQJyoFGa9mZXr8CEfM6LWfxGpl5Fm-RqLXdUIDRCfT121NA/s400/100_0775.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5699441525368791874" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSOAwko8RQ6Uplq2ragR60Qkts_OEiZnGxvzR8t1XS5mJ85ZD2EFNi7NrBy6HU6eD2u3uuO80qtIteJXz3KiVKPP_-VDw7t3abLXkQ5lDhZq8sKPX8NkD9ssV3YJ3e-12mbsbO8Kea6lRw/s400/100_0776.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5699441452006008930" />The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-73001953798629417482012-01-14T18:42:00.000-08:002012-01-14T18:54:14.221-08:00This made my dayOne of the things I LOVE about our new house is how I feel like we are out in the country, even though we are just about 2 minutes from the center of Poway. I love that all of our neighbors have farm animals. We are surrounded by horses chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, peacocks, emus and more. Our next door neighbors have a lot of ducks and some mornings I can see them out my bedroom window waddling up the hill between our houses. I love it!! I told Shaun, just after we moved in that it would totally make my day to come home one day and find ducks swimming in our pool. One day in October Shaun started yelling for me from outside and I went running since he sounded so frantic. This is why he was yelling for me:<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYicNBf39x0ay_iI7HMC-eZAfEth0vIu-kSxyRmmTWgzJ3VznGJOuYoLAFN-MHivcEgzQNUcGErsCEfFaImoFyQaw2M0KBerN6X-QW13Jzr-A0E1dejI86K4Wwe2srI38GkpRpA1wBjjQJ/s400/100_0753.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5697684132767670530" />

I was not disappointed and it totally made my day! Probably even my week. I don't think Shaun was nearly as excited as I was seeing as how they were non-stop, and I mean non-stop pooping in our pool. (He's our pool guy and he knew he would have to be cleaning up after the ducks!) But he humored me a for a few minutes until he went and got our neighbors to come get their ducks.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB54feEf34eMovEi7t3jSWV8ts6syXP0T5e-GpmFhEEPzcxfRNB9cUl72hxJhUC4tnwAKm9MLp_ij0G4Bl4FvWY4lW3CtsjTQstPc9gCAnYnvm3C6kr6wPCvIhN4aJ1wskA9L9zAVaXY1T/s400/100_0755.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5697683848931482946" />

On a side note one of our neighbors turkeys got in our yard the other day and I was ecstatic! I can't wait to get our own chickens, and don't tell Shaun but I'm now thinking about getting some ducks too!The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-66865230178719153022012-01-14T18:34:00.000-08:002012-01-14T18:41:08.530-08:00Halloween at schoolOn Halloween day Connor's school has a costume parade. So, on Halloween the kids did not wear their costumes to school, but that was OK with Madison. These are caramel apples dipped in white (colored orange) chocolate and rolled in crushed Oreo. I didn't try one but I had so much fun making them and then wrapping them up for a few friends.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxvD37qsTi95zSWv_PDNAZHSrf8UMz3VFLBmEUh2rTQK7E0Y9mDdprX_86B0JdtIAAgsfzfqrh55rlZpvJGWu7ar056AG0iyH3-NnMoBypw5xBZlhzD_EeCeswSngpTNlBsdhoV-id167b/s400/100_0721.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5697680280681136690" />

I made these eyeball cookie pops for Pack meeting and again for my teacher friends at school. The kids all come in costume and the parents stay and we have a little Costume Parade and then us teachers run a small little carnival. It's very fun! The only problem was that Shaun couldn't get the day off and I had to help at the carnival so that left Madison unaccompanied. Fortunately she has a great bis sister, Samantha, that volunteered to miss school and come with her. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgEQn_Fif_4-b7N1fkZny_D2-2j1m4zU-Y8xsswEpSlPSTh42MUCJ7EasDVXridiYdz-zIiIDYZ_1AHwncNA9f7dX63W8tpQzOZMiJpdXs9Zdv7tUw3buIPc2rvQFQm4UG3IIbXzX4mLUd/s400/100_0688.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5697550866114642546" />

Mads enjoying her cupcake from the cake walk.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizKCbi_73fk0C3vuQs6zhPlglO9ZVHmqUejULUFna_KnY4JfXXDluakc1lYQMYJwPW6yCo8C5WOAFFHIdnrHGly8u3XH4Jah-5VRHR0Bwo8xODegweat2N55JEIHLAbL95MhkMOtDwLZYV/s400/100_0704.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5697550350396876466" />

Mads playing on the swings<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAWpRnedhLkGX-kZ0s8KWOE4ZG8wN8LbP4IVz4hgN3_bXa6PmYKe6Kw5sGKkeVIvK-ohq00OxD9H1BL574btpfdNomp8nsU7habgm4dsuJ0JCIgKe1_Di_n5VyQuEG3qAuyMnDPckQQS_J/s400/100E0707.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5697549598887906546" />The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-11105209373708402562012-01-13T19:05:00.001-08:002012-01-13T19:09:10.650-08:00Ward Halloween PartyThis year the primary was in charge of the Ward Halloween party. It was a faithful car, and got us to and from Utah safely MANY times. I'm just sorry Madison is standing in front of it's dent. It had a lot of personality!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFVda5lNKzZjmoQw7xKvjtFEHCnQdoAIAP-tjSNsVV9rLGSN4M_cLj9zRaTYIp2trciBDNetO7dAD1yfdWEzpjG_dlYb-JUYcBVnu7379cVuoma6u3ZCpqSyBty7kI2rJuVKRnf9z7bZTk/s400/100_0537.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695418237779467810" />

I got to spend an afternoon with a friend that I just don't get to see often enough. She cleaned my house, did all the laundry and all the cooking for the entirety of her stay. She also helped me out with preschool prep, babysitting kids and rejuvenated my spirit but just being here. I don't know that anyone else in my family shares my passion so we don't always make it to the annual Poway Days parade. This year Connor's scout troop was invited to walk in it and I was thrilled! The main reason we don't make it is because it is right in the middle of soccer season and with all three big kids playing it's hard to get there. This year it was between games and Connor's troop was near the end so we got there a little late, but made it in time for Connor to hold one of the flags.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSiAQUrBe5BVaKXXmwK22z_jL_SwWKxbfuOU4VuDGHZ-Jvj2Qsf596L8DzINlowWDgBZHrBSoYn8uOe6BBAMUkeM7RBScO-oLjjxr0Kta3ULbiUrrR7AXpsycxdzpYiaDle3U1J_oIjalr/s400/100_0527.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695411400851663314" />

Connor leading the way!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgffLHhJKlr7aVmgEAjBv2IXgOovYxJoezGmz2o3cpeHyJf0f8lvioWIj1JnbCAEgYDSJ-CAuosgjGSLxq1HjwuTQyn-4KKuW-hdz8FOyV2p4myH9aK0sR8IUNlfN6T-nFRJUTN8JtgTfXj/s400/100_0525.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695411266042580386" />

We had rushed there from one of Connor's soccer games and weren't planning on walking in the parade but last minute decided to. She now goes to the preschool I teach at. She isn't in my class, but right across from me so I get to see her all the time. Our first day was just a short,"Get to know you" day. Here she is in her new bumble bee clothes ready for school. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh09TeeY6S9Nn5qOuCyA2WehHZRPR7hwd0HDXEvcP8XNl5FT4kVB7RvuNzXrsPGYpsJpIOyMjbjrFLNYNt2hZ6agohpsv-tXVGCBC-X9qSwA4e7-aKJ7CISKmayWFZi9yTRFOTuYAHqQPEm/s400/100_0374.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695080705660735490" />

Madison's first real full day at school. I decided to go back to work, outside of the home, for the first time in 15 years. I had always know that when I went back to work it would be teaching or working with young children in some respect. An opportunity was given to me to do that in August and with much thought and prayer we decided it was the right thing for our family at this time. I became a preschool teacher and I LOVE it! One of the other teachers, at the school, is a dear friend of mine and she helped make my transition into the world of preschool teachers as pain free as possible. I was felt overwhelmed and completely inadequate and incompetent for the first couple of months. Now we, (me and my family) have settled into our new routine and it's great. I have a small class, just nine little kiddos and a small little classroom, and I think it's great. I have yet to have a bad day at work. One thing I really love about my job is that it is a Christian preschool so I work with wonderful Christian women and we can talk about Jesus at school. Here are a few pictures of my cute little classroom from the beginning of the year, before school started. Each class has an animal name and we are the Penguins, that's why there are penguins everywhere you look!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoY5GnEz9fezQwyzStbS1opPtuC3gJBHcEEaVgyZZAxJOREHz9cawxn6QYQsKhGWiyssKrRYIcsWM9gAtotrUjTr1ZcKL9hOqsagy7oAtVk3Phdk3g40mMaWJ-YyiBbaxDUNLCzPBORHfJ/s400/100_0408.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695025087258858162" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlmioKbbRaE6mGFDouIFA2wloYXC_1eadQJ_ni_auYKDEkI7Ic24qdRc3VTGOIwgWxdNzahvWBguUjhw5sVZqP0VomIcyPDsr4YQlEPKGMxYasGLxcDMo3EGm5Tt4fz6RMjahwj6Lf4S_g/s400/100_0367.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695024970263554642" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq4sWQue-8fi6dK2gOioFlKSyt7Lzd2Yxnx91oghyphenhyphenyIWHynWkS92fwO7BWNTdnjhwAwv-9YmkEu0p4sDiJM5tXw1dX-Bv5T7ecCG6ouxZU3LprMb7Cho_qex_i8zRXUG6xu1eOKtbTnQJQ/s400/100_0368.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695024870264721010" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhep_J6FjHQa3Hiy48AHiJ0u-fdibA4ZDb6t0JZaxuxyYtbO60q1mRvscpKwsdh0W1QYH8GS4YMUqtEh0cjyJnjMyRS4L-B_F9ipWefIfi9QRR4gV2AlbHt3F4N23vgnubzOrMpwwrZMape/s400/100_0369.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695024762252340258" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9OlJkpsHrUohwDDkSjyaT14SAXFTLXDcGoedKuXpfZFUL7-mWkoFTblOMVyDuoqUgptRsF40pz-smiL1u1Tvkw830bmIaJBWscmGxV_kHTfsG8GJUKf17pY5JgGGCJlLbY_VC_hxiYUwq/s400/100_0371.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695024651671188850" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3J7F7APos9gqAGkkGMXTR1Y_szLamBWA3TLl1J3xRImSETuenec5VLhniuZjnBrDcD0eT4Ts8tDwbm51Fijb9MmDHX0p_-OCMp2SXtk-KecTjbxpG15A8KwON0Frekuvtkfu6h0l003E7/s400/100_0370.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695024536495087778" />The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-39866569507146567572012-01-04T17:29:00.000-08:002012-01-04T17:41:21.825-08:00Bird feedersOne day this summer Sam had her friend Maddy over. These two girls are mini crafters. All they ever want to do is crafty stuff. On top of that Maddy is an animal lover, so this was the perfect excuse to make these bird feeders I had found on a blog. They are basically birdseed and unflavored gelatin. They were a lot of fun to make and fun to see hanging all over our yard! If you want to make them too you can find them here<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUNO30ks7j9Q3R4Bzz0Ao_IeSKC3COcWQZGe46l_8TN8JzUsuDy6ozS73MaL26Z3cZUSb4Pbd2dFsCFvEjAxmlJg1bzUmDvdNy8SWd5OisMXftDLdeNLhLz2dtC_Omofv-Vodr980mOreY/s400/100_0321.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693955247254370770" />

In the cookie cutters and drying.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0NJlWT6plmlj-rO2KbJFecYh1Q7bYJkdG-ZM9sAxpA6IVKCSvWVzwNX6b9WgaUZe6H5UyyPukGUZfiC7zQQWZaQZc1Y3VKjLUNtXS6IgJeUriei3i4jyLzvB5GknjUVST9Jwp0qt92H2p/s400/100_0322.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693955022128262994" />

The finished product hung and ready to be eaten. When i told my friend about these she was very skeptical. She thought they would be too hard so the birds would not be able to get the birdseed. All I know is we hung dozens all around our property and none of them are still there. In fact, neither are the strings. It's going to make my day, if come spring, I see a birds nest with some of my bakers twine in it!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggdIyL4xKZ5_0slbKm4LfYFMGTGlq3AOmK9Bohc891tEunj0zNmMaR4XOL6_vHziB4eEPI9vREXM1snami0lm6dJ0IvmFwtD2czEHqyXG9__PpWkyKv3cVWyEvQqC3_3YTKpFA3SM477TT/s400/100_0326.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693954235097720738" />The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-8522629587606236732012-01-03T23:08:00.001-08:002012-01-03T23:16:02.565-08:00Rain Gutter RegattaOther than getting baptized the other thing Connor was most excited for when he turned 8 was becoming a cub scout. I'm not a big baseball fan, but the game was very enjoyable.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgok-1bMQEZAIcomWKdjjTgIsohFA53k8O8ZZjAChTAiMhcCW07ll-FUBRvpb5D0ruKOJBNPaTr68V3mP8oSg-onQDbtfnhoi9Gt2hQdBE_KaM9a0gKqmBy4DX24tehlMhVQFwqH6Pp8h7j/s400/100_0246.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693519544684366210" />

I spent most of the game taking pictures of Madison with the Orem Owl mascot.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNDN1X8CiYruQREmVWHOfTWuoasqRdrK48RBSb8KzzYwbyKd8j5W-vJApI1e9yB-lHf9dEl0twH_-LSOvcvGQettBWDojr5DUjpi_likM7Qv4xEHQAA_eWiTOuP138tc7Zvs0JdFMbxlNa/s400/100_0247.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693519250150019810" />

We went to Lagoon with my parents, two of my brothers and my sister in law. Grandpa, Grandma, and Connor picked up the Brooksby's in Arkansas and then the Quin Young family came down from Fresno. On July 1 we celebrated Grandpa Dell's and Connor's birthday. We spent a lot of time in the pool and then capped the night off with a s'more roast in the fire pit. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinXB4tmquvg1Fn_7LPLyXVUid3xTFAQYF41IpxVOu7qsPAMHxk72YjltkxucfCQxJV15KLuv_IIe5dO-n7yhk2VzcaAYj0gz9bToz_7Ri3m998_ocfurqe3cnxHA9NNqXKJJiHssrJ0TaG/s400/100_3467.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693108271943740018" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz62BXruw25T1dFpWtA1CB0qWmy3BcugeooWQuRX8WBsue3e1TZ6799uayUjIY6_cAVuyi4dFZvR7B7BZrgok5vO_ZGzsknADBQ2_gx31ZFRIgL3GtFKGgMfO4AC_jK5S428miBgP7CZMh/s400/100_3470.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693108174723147906" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1QhVpT8lHoQpzUyJ6dqoYAFkahf6G3dUjIYxDSIIh0FTnKFzyZFFvwlWO5fvSXn9amBFEJ1olp-VIhMNj9kZ_iLJ4jXwVw7i3Hk_l7eAHJGSZkjckKfjzSCwg9zDzncx1v7CRdTn2nnxi/s400/100_0212.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693109881690910898" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJcnGRNZ3LXE8JL2aKDP6kx4P8gOXzm0pj7XliZutSPhclPfdO8qk4L2k4akIb6l05bURpyLn2yiVLxxWOSgYwjAweISqoUi4Sixe-LbLtzawbTN9lDkNz-qyuQRNeh4_becb-sHBOfBia/s400/100_0230.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693109673955359842" />

On July 2nd the day Connor had been anxiously awaiting arrived. Life just got busy and priorities shifted. But being the new year and New Year's Resolutions and all that stuff, I've decided to start where I left off. I don't know how many people in the blogging world read or enjoy my blog, but it is a great way for me and my family to keep a small little timeline of what goes on in our life and I feel like that is important, so here goes.

We only made it to the beach ONE TIME this summer. We were very busy! Connor spent a big chunk of the summer driving across the country with his Young grandparents and cousins to watch baseball games. Sounded like one of my nightmares come to life, but apparently some people like traveling and watching baseball. Connor loved it and would do it again tomorrow if given the chance. Here's a couple of pics of us at the beach. Sam isn't in any of them since she refused to get in the water so she became the official photographer. As we were starting to pack up to go Sam decided to test out the water and wouldn't you know it, stepped on a piece of glass and cut her foot open! Rotten luck!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGrXpGbQJKo0Lk8yd9bTcw7Pf1lcuPBU2sXWXQRrNkqY2XgCMl5XdWELVG3vk0Xq0ke5loVZaVf9TQEK4fbASTgEEC30bumSHwg3Uee1LChJgzCLU1lBLlEBLBWTD2T66SnZlFaJo_ByR2/s400/100_0131.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692817484094134706" />

Mads had a blast playing with Audrey, my friend's daughter.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwUZQOL27dD13sLxRfGG9jsbrn2R2Nk3Ww2cCbj7W9PkboVZLNkvCUdUGgcStb6oK8yEInCI5eLQh5TtTFXPqgv4kkrkmiUckmobL4sbF1vTr_cy2ilnjtHxNhns2yw93XjvlFHv2jyd4V/s400/100_0140.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692817083428956226" />The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-20973397434146893382011-07-25T14:14:00.001-07:002011-07-25T17:24:19.591-07:00Girls Camp 2011My two oldest girls got to both attend Girls Camp this year with our ward. I went in to help them make a Father's Day gift for their dads. I was excited to do this since I had seen this idea last year just after I was released from Nursery so I didn't get to do it. I think they turned out so cute! I hope the daddies liked them!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyUqMPW5Mfa4EgBUnvS-SPO8LCAHEQA9-322_HPXmmoZjxm-qfjGA21L7wRb6Cd5OXz-YVUFLBtbwqqn3VDo5bvfhe0p-GUV-ecc8Gzxzm5G4DeiOog7xX7FGIabyM0BdL0eszOLZiHfsu/s400/100_0097.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5633400553172002370" />The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-82716533650490772402011-06-20T13:53:00.001-07:002011-06-20T14:04:28.979-07:00PromotionAmanda graduated from 8th grade this year and is moving on to High School. I can't believe I will have a High schooler! In fact this year I will have one child in High school, one in Middle school, one in Elementary school and one in Pre-school. Anyway...Amanda's promotion day was very fun! My parents got to be here for it which was very fun. They had gotten in to town the night before just in time to addend the Middle school awards ceremony and then got to come to Promotion the next day. Amanda's friend Rachel came over at 6:30 in the morning to do Amanda's hair for her and it turned out very cute! The ceremony was little long...over 400 names to call. 406 to be exact and Amanda was number 405! After they called her name my mom and I sprinted out of there to go over to Mads end of the year party at her preschool. So, unfortunately I didn't get any pictures from the day. Luckily one of her friends mom got this picture of Amanda with three of her good friends after the ceremony. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 268px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSENA_nqqKHgJUZg-91KejbPNr5Nb37KlHBMiENCA3kWF6RzFkMftdKRKmYe2uOrHDzwvCgQmwJYRnHNYVJLyuWEUkHuA6Cx7YRwIKShDrVN2W22JuKhCPA3iQq-mb-A0wHcuIMM6Cb38e/s400/amanda+promotion.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620407962074901810" />
After the ceremony we hosted a post-promotion party for about 15 of Amanda's friends. It was really fun. There was a lot of swimming, a lot of Beatles Rock Band played and A LOT of cupcakes eaten! (Those girls ate 5 dozen cupcakes in a matter of three hours!)The Young Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15963113840920743208noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972108874929340706.post-48907324213634838422011-06-20T13:40:00.001-07:002011-06-20T13:47:18.183-07:00OlympicsI have so many of the school year "things" I want to blog about. Unfortunately my camera broke/got lost. So I'm doing my best to find pictures that other people have taken. One of the biggest events for 6th graders at our school is the 6th grade Olympics. It is a two day event. I wasn't able to go because I had a field trip with Madison, but Shaun was able to get the day off to go cheer Sam on!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 298px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG7huFps39j56Ezjj0mJ3E99mCvnwzkzQKWViPQYuHGyniaf22TcMLa1tydMwinhMyfFocfm44Fiy9z6DwNcMAZjpudo1jyUsohF0l9EcvDPwWJgqMUpfcTQh-5YQNfVws-N1RoAKLLNnW/s400/102_3794.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620405553365231314" />
Sam was on the Netherlands. She was so excited to do it...until it was game time. She all of a sudden got super shy and wouldn't even go on the field some weeks. With just a couple of weeks left in the season her coach finally found what she loved, being goalie.
